What is the House System at Wortham?

The House System, created by the Ron Clark Academy, sorts every student, teacher, and staff member at Wortham into one of six houses. It's a cross-age approach designed to build community, character, and school pride — and at Wortham, the motto is simple: we uplift everyone, regardless of what house they're in.

Students are placed into a house at random during Camp Wortham and stay in that same house for both 5th and 6th grade, so it becomes a built-in friend group even across different classes and elementary school backgrounds.

How do houses earn points?

Staff award points for things like good character, academic excellence, school spirit, effort, teamwork, humility, compassion, and responsibility — essentially anything staff deem worthy. Points add up all year, both individually and campus-wide, building toward a House Championship crowned at the end of the year.
