PTA Reflections contest

What is the Wortham Intermediate PTA Reflections Program? Founded in 1969, National PTA Reflections is a nationwide program that provides students with the opportunity to explore their thoughts, feelings, and ideas through original artwork. Reflections encourages artistic expression, builds self-confidence, and promotes a lifelong love of learning and discovery—with an emphasis on positive recognition over competition. 

Submissions advance from the school level up to state and national recognition. Judges evaluate entries based on three key criteria:

1. Interpretation of Theme (50%): How closely and creatively the artwork and accompanying artist statement relate to "What My Culture Means to Me".

2. Creativity (25%): Originality and unique conception of the theme.

3. Technical Skill (25%): Mastery and execution in the chosen art form.

1. Pick Up an Entry Form: Get a physical form from Mrs. Randell (Art Teacher) or at the Front Office.

2. Create Your Masterpiece: Express your culture through your favorite art medium!

3. Submit Your Entry: Completed entry forms and original artwork must be returned to Mrs. Randell no later than October 23rd.
